What are the different types of car batteries?

Nickel metal hydride batteries are suitable for hybrid cars, but not so much for electric vehicles. Nickel or hydride car batteries are suitable for hybrid cars, but not so much for electric vehicles.

Gel cell or wet cell batteries are cheaper but need a higher charging voltage. Enhanced flooded batteries are more resistant and need less maintenance but need a higher charging voltage.
